Former Naval Aviation Command Building
Former Naval Aviation Command Building, built-in 1938. Although it is open to the public as a war memorial museum, it also uses as a filming location. It is rare that the Naval aviation base facilities retaining the condition as it was in the old days. Some details, such as ceilings, windows, and lighting remain as they were at the time, especially the command room on the second floor. It was used as a location for the Japanese movie ” The Eternal Zero”.

Ibaraki Prefectural Government Building
A 116m tall government building with a green park built in 1998.
It is the tallest administrative building with an observation deck on the roof floor. Only available to use as a filming location during weekends and public holidays. There are many places suitable for shooting, such as the theater and PR corner on the second floor. The entrance always used as a hospital or research institution in the past shootings.
Large-scale blockades of roads around the Ibaraki Prefectural Office are able to arrange beforehand according to the filming schedule.

Old Ibaraki Prefectural Government Building
The old prefectural government building built-in 1930. The design, exterior materials, style, etc. show the trend of the early Showa era, and it is the largest Western-style building remaining in Ibaraki since the Meiji era. It currently uses as the Sannomaru Government Building, and The Ibaraki Prefectural Library is right next to it.
BBC “Time Watch”, Japanese dramas and some photo shootings used here as a location.

Aikoku Gakuen Ryugasaki High School
A high school with more than 260 cherry blossoms within the campus. The school building wall is tiled with brick tiles, giving a high school atmosphere. There are special classrooms such as a courtroom, a cooking room, and a science room where tea ceremonies are held. The connecting passage in the school building where the dome-shaped ceiling is impressive is also rare. Filming location for the popular drama “Hanazakari no Kimitachi”.
